Justice connotes fairness and equity and refers to access to the care and services to which residents are entitled, both within and outside the facility. The nursing home further recognizes that all human beings are equal and, therefore, have the same rights and obligations.

RIGHTS of Residents

  • Obtain information on the level of care and services provided by the nursing home;

  • Receive equitable treatment;
  • Receive the care and services their condition requires, taking into account the level of services provided.

  • Recognize that the care and services their condition requires are provided based on the level of services provided by the nursing home.

PRACTICES AND CONDUCT EXPECTED from Caregivers

  • Ensure easy access to health care, through effective organization of care and service delivery, at all steps of the process;
  • Ensure delivery of equitable care and services, by acting impartially and without favoritism and discrimination, so as to provide the same quality of care and services to each resident / caregiver;
  • Accomplish their duties in a timely manner and establish their priorities based on the needs of residents and that of other caregivers;
  • Ensure that residents receive the care and services their condition requires, based on the level of services provided
