- Respect the uniqueness of each resident;
- Communicate with residents in an appropriate manner;
- Provide the peaceful environment residents require, where noise, circulation and conversation are kept to a minimum, in order to promote a quiet and restful setting;
- Respect the choice of residents with regard to the gender of the caregiver who will provide hygiene care.
