PRACTICES AND CONDUCT EXPECTED from Residents and Caregivers

  • Ensure that all interpersonal communication is carried out with courtesy, honesty and mutual respect of opinions;
  • Practice active listening in order to understand the situation or opinion of others;
  • Ensure information is accurate, relevant and given to the appropriate persons;
  • Recognize that the complaint management process is an opportunity for improvement and development;
  • Exercise discretion by avoiding comments, outside appropriate areas, regarding the health condition, social, reactions and treatment or care plan of residents.
